When I first stepped into the role of Executive Director at Hope Collaborative, I knew we had a mission worth fighting for—but I didn’t yet grasp the full uniqueness, growth, and impact that would unfold in the years to come.
Back then, we were a small but passionate team, committed to reaching students who had been overlooked, underserved, and often written off. We believed in second chances, in the power of mentorship, and in the strength of community. What we didn’t yet realize was just how rare our model was—or how deeply it would resonate.
Today, Hope Collaborative stands as one of the few in-school programs in Kentucky/Indiana that consistently serves the most vulnerable students. We don’t wait for them to come to us. We go to them—into their schools, into their communities, into the heart of their challenges. We meet them where they are, and we walk with them toward a better future.
We’ve grown from serving a handful of students to reaching hundreds across multiple counties and school districts. Our mentors are not just volunteers—they’re lifelines. Our diversion workshops don’t just reduce recidivism—they restore dignity. And our partnerships with churches and nonprofits don’t just expand our reach—they build a network of hope.
Now, we stand at a pivotal moment.
To reach the next level—to expand our footprint, deepen our impact, and serve thousands more students—we need visionary board leadership. Leaders who understand that funding and strategic support are not just operational needs, but transformational levers.
